Emi and Kyle's wedding

On Saturday Nick and I went to the insanely gorgeous wedding of our friends Emi and Kyle. The pictures cannot do justice to the stunning detail of this wedding. Emi and I became friends when we were both presidents of our sororities and have kept in touch ever since. She is a such a wonderful, genuine person and I am so happy for her a Kyle.

The reception was held in the beautiful ballroom of the newly renovated Arctic Club Hotel and the wedding was full of elegance and she wore a lovely Vera Wang gown that fit perfectly. The color palette was chocolate and champagne and tied in with everything from the chocolate martinis to the chocolate bar (yum!!!) and mini bottles of champagne to take home (to continue the celebration of course)!

And at 10:00 they featured a surprise snack - delicious burgers and fries! (As if the steak wasn't already good enough!)

It was such a blast and I had fun dancing the night away and making new friends! Congrats to Emi and Kyle!

Jack Johnson at the Gorge

On Friday Nick and I took off in the morning with our friends Sam, Scott (Dirt), and Cobie to go to the Gorge for the Jack Johnson concert. The weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot. The Gorge is such a great setting for a concert and he put on a great show under the stars!

She's back!

She's back! The Britney I knew and loved is on the comeback! Brit-Brit is looking pretty good these days and the rumor is that she will be performing at the 2008 VMAs!

USA with 110 medals! What a great two weeks it has been and I'm already looking forward to Vancouver 2010 and London 2012!

Catch up time!

Much needed catch up time! The last week was extremely hectic with a quick trip back to New York to see my family. And so much happened while I was there: Michael Phelps winning his 8th gold medal, the always adorable Shawn Johnson won a gold and so much excitement with track and field, especially Usain Bolt! Who knew so much could happen in one week!

The 1-2 American punch

I don't think I have ever been so nervous (except the 1996 Olympic games) than I was tonight watching two of my favorite gymnasts Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson competing in the all around competition! I was so excited for them to take the gold and silver! What a great night for Team USA!

Singing is the new rebellion

Yes, I am 24 and love High School Musical! The stars recently did a Grease-inspired theme photo shoot for Elle magazine and I can't wait for the third movie to come out this fall!

11 golds, no big deal

What a stud! Is he human?! Nick and I went out to Joey's restaurant on Lake Union with our good friends Chris and Deanna and watch Michael Phelps win his 11th gold medal, an Olympic record. But did we have any doubt?
