Weekend celebration for Nick

I never really blog about Nick's work, but in the past few months some really exciting things have happened to him and I wanted to give my soon-to-be husband a little public shout out of all his accomplishments:

a) he completed a series of tests to make him a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (think of it as almost a CPA type certification for software engineers)

B) he was promoted to senior software engineer level

and the most exciting.....

C) he was offered (and accepted) a position with a little Fortune 50 company called Microsoft!
We actually found out he got the job before we left for France (literally as we were at the airport about to board the plane) but didn't tell people until this week, when all the paperwork went through.

I am very, very proud of all this hard work, and especially everything he has done in the past few months.

Since our trip to France doubled as a celebration for his new job, I thought it would be appropriate to make him a French-inspired celebration dinner this weekend complete with:

Wine we bought in France
Homemade baguettes
French onion soup
Nutella crepes (this will be my first attempt, so we'll see how it goes)

We also have some fun holiday things planned so it should be a fun, busy weekend! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
