Last night Nick and I watched this movie and there really is some resembelance between Scarlett Johansson and the painting. Good movie if you haven't alredy seen it.

Weekend update

This weekend was Nick and my 4 year dating anniversary - crazy how time flies! He took me out to a wonderful dinner at a restaurant near Pikes Place Market called The Pink Door. It's an old restuarant with no sign, just a pink door. It's really good, comforting Italian food and has a cool atmosphere.

Sunday was a lovely sunny day so we went on a run and then later that day Brooke and I took her dog for a walk around Woodland Park and then went back to her place to enjoy the evening sun and some iced-tea. Can't wait for more weekends like that!

Weekend is here

I love those weeks that just fly by, and this was one of them! On Tuesday I went out to happy hour at McCormick and Schmicks with a group of work friends, it was amazing weather and so we sat outside right by the water. It's right across the lake from my work and they have a great deck.

On Wednesday, I a group of friends and I finally started season one of Gossip Girl. We watched three episodes, and I can't believe how long it took me to get into such an amazing show. And I've heard it only gets better from here!

I'm excited for another sunny, relaxing weekend! Hope its great for everyone!

End of winter

My dad and brother did some camping up in the mountains this weekend and said goodbye to winter. Here are some of the beautiful images my dad took.

Weekend update

Fun, relaxing and sunny weekend!

On Saturday Nick and I went downtown and did some shopping and walked around Pikes Place Market. It was packed with tourists, but it was still fun to see the fresh produce, seafood and flowers and Nick bought me a lovely bouquet. We then dinner at a little cured meat shop called Da Pinos.

Later that night we watched Doubt, which was a really good movie.

Sunday was cleaning and then we did a tour of a local chocolate factory, Theo Chocolates, with seven of our friends. The tour was only $6 and we got so much chocolate and learned a lot about chocolate. It is really good, high quality chocolate and completely organic.

It was a pretty nice day so Nick and his friend CK played frisbee while Jackie and I just watched and talked.

For dinner, I took some fresh Pinos sausage and made an Italian sausage sandwich. Yum!

Last week was a really busy and stressful week, so I'm feeling a lot more refreshed, relaxed and read for Monday.

Happy Easter

A belated post, hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! He is risen!!!

Britney Spears concert review

Obviously a much over due post. On Thursday I went to the Britney Spears concert with my friends Deanna and Leila, their sister Joy, and friend Sheena. All I have to say is Britney is back!!!

The Pussycat Dolls opened and were really good, and sang their remix of Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire (which I finally watched this past weekend!)

She put on an outstanding circus themed show, complete with Cirque du soleil type dancers. She opened with Circus, closed with Baby One More Time, and did an encore of Womanizer. We were dancing the whole time and I felt like I was 14!

Even though it was a very late night, it was so worth it. I am just as obsessed with her as ever!

Britney Spears tonight!!!

It's finally here, the Britney concert!!!

I remember going to Britney and N Sync concerts back in high school and Meghan's mom always had to drive us (along with 99% of the people attending the concert)! I feel like I am 14 again.

Busy, busy bee

This week has been pretty busy and I can't belive it's already Wednesday! On Monday I went over to Brynn's for dinner and she made Barefoot Contessa's roasted tomato soup, so yummy!! She had little grilled cheese sandwhiches with three different types of cheeses on the side and I was full and happy!

Yesterday I had to run over to the Bellevue Club for an ADPi corp board lunch and then made it back to work for a meeting that we held outside in the courtyard since it was so nice out!

Last night I met up with Michelle and Erin for happy hour downtown at a new place called Troiani. Very good truffle fries!

Tonight is bunco and I better win a prize!!!

Sunny and fun weekend

Finally our first spring weekend! The Pacific Northwest was given the taste of spring, and it was amazing!

On Saturday Erin and I walked around Greenlake and then later that night celebrated our friend Ashley's birthday.

Sunday was another beautiful day so Nick and I went on a 2-hour walk in a really pretty park in Seattle called Discovery Park.

Later that afternoon/evening, Erin and I went to an event called Taste Washington where they had over 200+ Washington wineries and 60 area restaurants for tastings. Tickets were $125, but Erin got two free ones from her work and I was the lucky recipient.

The restaurants they had were some of the best, most expensive restaurants in the city, so it was really cool to taste all their food for free, so needless to say, we went all out!

High School Musical 3

On Wednesday I had Meghan and Brynn over for dinner and HSM3. I loved the movie, but I am so sad that they are all over. Can they please have "the college years"?!

For dinner I made Barefoot Contessa's Italian Wedding Soup. It is so good, makes a ton and is pretty healthy! My dad said growing up he ate this soup all the time. He is 100% Italian and has a huge family that he grew up with so they always had lots of food on the table.

Even though Ina isn't Italian, I prefered her recipie over Giada's since it was make with chicken, healthier alternative.

I'm normally not much of an April Fools fan (yes, I am one of those people that fall for everything) but I thought that Expedia's Trip to Mars special was pretty cute. You can save over $3 trillion!

Hot wheels

Club Monaco will start selling the Gazelle, a reproduction of the classic Dutch bicycle designed in 1892. The only bike endorsed by the Dutch royal family, it is now available in the United States for the first time.
I'm getting excited to ride my own bike this summer!
