Biking to work

I have exciting news to share - I am an official bike commuter! Yay! May is "Bike to Work Month" so with the help of work friends, I dusted off an old hand-me-down bike from my mom, made the leap and started riding into work!

And we've been making morning or afternoon food rides to Top Pot donuts, Marination (a Korean taco truck) and tomorrow is Belgian waffles!

I am so happy that I decided to stop out of my comfort zone and try something new because I found I really enjoy riding my bike and look forward to lots more fun rides around Seattle!

This sounds like so much fun. I would bike, but I work 25 miles away from home. I'd have to leave at 3am. Have fun for me!

This is wonderful! If I had room to keep my bike in NYC and if I didn't work in Time Square I'd totally ride to and from work!

Yep, you're cool.

I'd ride to work, but my office is 20 miles from my house...and there are lots of hills...and it's dark in the morning when I leave...and I'm a super sweaty exerciser so I'd be all gross once I got to work...and I'd probably leave my bike and work and take a cab home...and I suck...so yep, you're cool. Keep it up!!☺

How fun!! I would love to be able to do this but sadly my commute is all interstate and rough city driving and I have to wear dresses and heels everyday =( The tree lined street you are riding on looks gorgeous...so pretty and green! And you look super cute on your bike!

That sounds like fun biking with other people! There was a Sweet Iron Waffles a couple blocks from my office and I always wondered if it was any good. You'll have to let me know!

I just took my bike out for the first time since last summer. It was so nice. I was thinking I should start riding my bike to work too. The only thing that stops me is riding home when it is over 100 degrees in the summer.

That's awesome! I wish my job would encourage people to do things like that. But just like you I would need someone to help push me out of my comfort zone!

I would love to ride to work! Unfortunately the only bike I have is an old fashioned 50's style one with 5 gears. Not so good for the hills around here!
