Garden d'Lights

Last weekend Nick and I went to check out the Christmas lights at Bellevue's Botanical Garden which they rename Garden D'Lights (get it, Garden Delights, haha). Anyways, it was so cool and only $5 tickets. We are definitely going next year.

There were over 500,000 lights are here are some images of a few of them.

Knitting adventures

Over Christmas weekend my sister-in-law is going to teach me how to knit! It's literally been on my to-do list for the whole year and I'm so excited to finally learn.

And to make it even more fun, this week multiple friends had beautiful, healthy babies!! I am so so happy!!! I can't wait to knit little things for babies! Please pass along any knitting suggestions if you have them.
Congrats again to my dear friends!

Shane and Carrie's wedding

Going back into the archives, pictures from our friends Shane and Carrie's wedding back in November. Shane and Carrie went to UW with us, but now live in Boston. Even though they live on the east coast now was really great they decided to have their wedding here becaus so many people were able to make it.

The wedding was so beautiful and was at Hotel 1000 in downtown Seattle. It was a rainy day (but luckily they still got their outside pictures done) and the hotel is so modern and cozy, the atmosphere was perfect: during the cocktail hour we were drinking wine by the fireplace!

PS22 Chorus

Ok, I love all your blogs but I have to be honest that I have found a new favorite, the PS22 Chorus blog. My friend and office mate Meghan introduced me to the PS22 chorus and they are awesome!

If you haven't heard of them yet, you will when they perform at the Oscars! Prepare to be amazed and you can check out their blog here.

Snowflake Lane

Last night Nick, Meghan and I met up after work in Bellevue for their annual Snowflake Lane parade. Meghan described it as "like being at Disney" and I couldn't have said it better myself.

And it even "snows" during the parade!

Holiday filled weekend part 2

Another busy and fun holiday weekend! It was filled with Christmas parties including Nick's holiday party !

I also finished almost all of our Christmas cards - woohoo!

On Sunday I went to a baby shower for my good friend Brooke who is due in January with a girl and it was so fun seeing all the cute things she got. Brooke is really into all things French so she got a lot of cute Parisian style outfits so she will have one stylin' Seattle baby!

I also had my 6th annual ADPi ornament exchange party. Check out this adorable penguin I got from Michelle! I think this is penguin #2 I've gotten from our ornament exchange party - I love penguins!

Holiday filled weekend

This past weekend was full of holiday activities and I am officially in the Christmas mood!

On Friday, Nick and I went to see the Pacific Northwest Ballet's The Nutcracker with our friends Jackie and Chris. It was awesome! I did ballet for so long and I still love it so much! The PNB is in Seattle and is actually considered one of the top 3 ballet places in the country (I didn't know that until I read it in the program).

Then on Sunday, I went to the 5th Avenue Theater with my mom to see A Christmas Story The Musical. I love this movie and watch it multiple times in December. It was hilarious and my mom and I still have some songs stuck in our heads.

And to top off a great weekend, the Huskies beat the WSU Cougars in our annual riverly game, the Apple Cup. Holiday Bowl here we come!

Book Club: The Art Of Racing In the Rain

Last night was book club hosted by my friend and fellow blogger Michelle. She made us a delicious mushroom lasagna that I can't wait to make myself and I brought over some easy Parmesan and Thyme Crackers I made.

Michelle picked out the book and I really liked it. It was a quick and easy read and any pet lover can totally relate to it. It also takes place in Seattle which was an extra bonus since I knew all the landmarks and neighborhoods that were mentioned. The book is told from the perspective of a dog, Enzo, who understands everything humans say, but of course can't talk back to them - very cute!
