Book Club: The Art Of Racing In the Rain

Last night was book club hosted by my friend and fellow blogger Michelle. She made us a delicious mushroom lasagna that I can't wait to make myself and I brought over some easy Parmesan and Thyme Crackers I made.

Michelle picked out the book and I really liked it. It was a quick and easy read and any pet lover can totally relate to it. It also takes place in Seattle which was an extra bonus since I knew all the landmarks and neighborhoods that were mentioned. The book is told from the perspective of a dog, Enzo, who understands everything humans say, but of course can't talk back to them - very cute!

This is super cute! I'm always looking for new books, and I'm definitely going to add this to my list to get at the library or add to my Kindle!
I love when I read a book that takes place somewhere that I know all the landmarks - it makes it a little more special!
Hope you're doing well and that the snow is either melted or manageable! It's been POURING here for the past two days, which is kind of making me wish it was snow :)

I keep seeing this around. Knowing it's set in Seattle might nudge me into reading it.

Big dog loving family. I think this is going to be the perfect stocking stuffer for my Mom, who can then pass it along to my daughter who is in Seattle!

I tried to read this book.. okay okay.. I read the first few pages online... haha.. But I couldnt even get through them without bawling! Would you recommend the book to soemone like me who obviously has issues with sadness and pets.. ? ha! I heard it ends well, even though the dog likely passes (from what it seems).

AAAH I just picked this book for our book club, even though my mom said she didn't really like it b/c she didn't like the main guy character. Have you read HOUSE RULES? I was picking between that and house rules ... i'm glad i picked this one, though i haven't started it yet.
