The September Issue

I know I am a little behind the times, but I finally saw The September Issue (it's a Netflix instant view) and I loved it!  I wanted to keep watching more even after it was over.  Has everyone else seen it?  Did you love it as much as me?

Itty bitty cookies

I am super depressed over the Huskies loss (oh well, at least we made it to the Sweet 16...I'm still proud to be a Dawg!) but looking at how cute these tiny peanut butter cookies are makes me happy. I only wish I had the patience to make them. And yes, they are chocolate chips, not Hersey's kisses.

I could not be more excited for game day today becasue my alma mater, the University of Washington Huskies are playing in the Sweet 16!

I have all my fingers crossed for an underdog victory!

Weekend update

Once again Monday has come too soon - but it was a great weekend! The highlight was celebrating a big birthday for my mom!! My dad took us all out to a great restaurant over in Bellevue and I'm so happy we could all be together on my mom's actual birthday. And to top off our first spring weekend, it was sunny all weekend - I can't wait for more weekends like this!

Also, did anyone watch Life on the Discovery Channel? I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to more episodes!

First spring weekend

Spring will offically be here this weekend - yay!! I plan on enjoying some lovely Seattle weather and on Saturday celebrating my mom's birthday! Have a great weekend!

Ireland memories

I plan on celebrating St. Patrick's day in an ADPi corp board meeting (no worries, I hate Guinness anyways) but I decided to post some pictures from my trip to Ireland a few years ago to commemorate the Irish day!

Sunday spring cleaning

This was me on Sunday (minus the awesome apron). I spend the morning walking in the Seattle sunsine with Nick and then started off some spring cleaning. Cleaning the fridge (both inside and out) felt amazing!

Calming spaces

A few nights ago my dear friend Isaac had Meghan, Brynn and I over for dinner. Isaac does private events for an amazing restaurant here in Seattle and has a huge talent for creating lovely spaces.

Issac set such a calming space for dinner, it has inspired me to try to do the same. Spend my evenings with calming music, lit glassybabies and quiet time.

Wishful Wednesday: dream wedding dress

Kelsey's question this week came at an absolute perfect time for me...

'I wish' I could wear MY DRESS (that came in yesterday!!!) for my wedding day!

Yes, it was a constant "eeeekkk!!!" all night long after I tried on my wedding dress that came in yesterday!

Everything was perfect, I loved it just as much as when I tried it on the first time, the fit was amazing, just a few little alterations that need to be done and I could not be happier! Erin and Brynn came with me to check it out and they even said it was exactly what they pictured me in - what a great compliment!

Sadly with this post, no picture because a certain someone reads my blog and can't get any hints! :) eeeekkk!!!

Memphis weekend

I am back from Memphis and full of BBQ and sweet tea - yumm!! My mom and I had a really fun time visiting her parents and of course eating! I didn't take many pictures, but here is one of the mighty Mississippi river!

Since Memphis is right on the border between Arkansas and Mississppi, my mom and I did a little roadtrip to those states. I have never been to either of those places, so thought "why not?!"

Memphis for the weekend

After work today, I'm off to Memphis to spend the weekend with my grandparents! My mom was raised there (she is coming too, and staying longer than I am) and her parents continue to live there.

I'm really looking forward to hanging out with my grandma and pa and of course eating some yummy BBQ! HAve a great weekend everyone!

Legally Blonde The Musical

A huge standing ovation for Legally Blonde The Musical! I think Reese would have been very proud!

I have always loved the movie and I was president of my sorority too - just like Elle (well her brunette version)! I went to the play with my parents and I seriously had a smile on my face the whole time. And they even had real (very well behaved dogs) in the play!

Definitely check it out if it comes to your city! Fun, fun, fun!!!
