New Orleans trip: Evenings out

Of course a trip wouldn't be complete without trips the proper nightlife of New Orleans.  We of had to check out Bourbon street:

And got lots of recommendation to check out Pat O'Briens, the birthplace of the (very) sweet hurricane.  They had a  great courtyard too!

Another thing I loved about the city was the music everywhere.  Bourbon street, Faubourg Marigny, Frenchmen street and even just on the side of the street.

a second line parade for a wedding

And some quieter evening sights

Sounded like fun! I love Pat O'Briens Huricane's! They have Typhoon drink that's really good too! We have a Pat's here in Orlando that we go to from time to time.

I love that you are posting on this. It was 2 days ago and I was telling my husband about all there is to do there. I haven't been since I was a wee one, but now, being grown I think I would have a lot of fun!

One of the best weekends of my life was spent in New Orleans! We saw Washboard Chaz at the Spotted Cat... it was the middle of summer and we were all sweaty and dancing it was like a scene out of a movie! pure magic!

The live music was my favorite part of New Orleans too. One night we sat in a non-descript bar on Bourban Street and listened to an amazing band jam out for a couple hours. It was so fun!
