Weekend update

Hello friends!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  We had lovely summer weather so Nick and I made the most of it and headed outside.

Sunday we broke out the bikes and did an 11 mile bike ride on the Burke Gilman trail.  It's a well-paved, off the road trail that is perfect for biking and running and very safe.  I snapped some pictures of our view of Lake Washington on the ride.

This is a map of the route we did, although the whole trail is much longer - 27 miles total!

And I also finished a very light read, William, Kate, and Harry - A Look Behind the Palace Walls

And at the suggestion of other bloggers started The Hunger Games

And watched No Strings Attached (it had its funny moments)

Oh and did I mention its my birthday week!  :)

Happy Birthday Week! Sounds like a perfect summer weekend!

Speaking of William and Kate - I'm going to be in the L.A. area for a wedding the same time they'll be there. I was quite excited about this, but no one else seems to be. I know you'll appreciate it as much as I do!

Happyyyyy birthday week, my dear friend!
I love seeing what you (and Nick) are up to - you two always do such fun things and I love how much time you spend together.
I just rented No Strings Attached the other night - it was much cuter than I thought it would be. Let me know what you think of The Hunger Games - that's another one on my must read list for this summer! :)
Have the greatest birthday ever - I wish we lived closer so I could buy you drinks and cupcakes, girl! xo

First of all... Happy Birthday!! I hope you have a festive week filled with lots of love and laughter!

Looks like an amazing ride, that is so awesome that you did all of that. I have not ridden a bike since I was part of a mountain biking club a few years back.

I'm a total bookworm, so I may have to check at least one of those out. Thanks for the suggestions :)

We have a long bike trail like that near our house BUT definitely not with that view!

I thought No Strings Attached was pretty cute. I hate though how I'm seeing previous with Justin Timberlake recently for basically the same story line.

Happy early Birthday! Got big plans?!

Happy birthday week! I think all birthdays should be strung out over a week.

I'm on the second book of The Hunger Games trilogy and I'm waiting so impatiently for the third one to be delivered. They aren't the kind of books I normally read but I can't get enough!

What lovely photos! That ride looks like such fun with amazing views. I'd be interested to hear what you think about The Hunger Games - I bought the book the other day but haven't read it yet.
