Tahitian honeymoon day 5: Moorea

Continuing on with honeymoon blogging.  Day 5 in Moorea.  I don't have much to add, other than pool time, beach time and kayaking time!

Tahitian honeymoon day 4: 4x4 Moorea tour

To start off, it seems ironic that I am posting about a tropical island on a snow day!

Our 4th day in Moorea it was slightly overcast so we decided to do a 4x4 Jeep tour of the island.  We had talked about doing something like that so today was the perfect time to do it.

During our tour we went to the highest point on the island:

A black sand beach where Love Affair was filmed:

A pineapple field (interesting fact, no pineapples from Tahiti are imported and they are much smaller than Hawaiian pineapples, the core is edible too):

Weekend update

Sharing my weekend in pictures...

Made The Pioneer Woman's Pasta ai Quattro Fromaggi for dinner with friends.  So good but very rich.

And a gardening adventure!  One of the things I loved in Paris were all the hanging flower pots on the balconies. So on Sunday we went over to Wells Medina Nursery and picked out flowers for my own Parisian balcony baskets.

We now have two beautiful balcony pots with dusty millers, purple hyacinthas (still needs to bloom), pink primroses and purple spring pansies. I love them!

Tahitian honeymoon day 3: Moorea

Continuing on from my last post of the honeymoon, day 3 in Moorea.

Our day was spent at the beach pool and before dinner we did snorkeling and went kayaking! Our hotel let you use all the water equipment for free, so we pretty much used all of it everyday exploring around the island.  

I decided all do all my underwater camera pics in one big post later on.
