Coldplay concert

Hello friends - hope everyone had a great weekend!

Last Wednesday Nick and I went to the Coldplay concert - so so amazing!  We met up with some friends for dinner and then headed over to the concert. I was hoping for a Gwyneth/Apple/Moses sighting but sadly they weren't in Seattle.  But the concert was awesome - they outdid themselves!  We went to their concert at the Gorge back in summer 2009 and it was so fun to see them again.  They did all the big hits, such a great time!

And of course today I had to celebrate the Royal Wedding anniversary!  I spent the morning drinking English tea (straight from Westminster Abbey thanks to Meghan and David!) and reading all the fun articles about their past year and of course watched a wedding recap video.  A year ago I was waking up at 2 a.m. with friends to watch all the wedding coverage - ah, fun memories.  Yay for my favorite Royal couple!!

Multiple weekend update

Hello blogger friends!  I've missed you all!

I seriously cannot believe May is right around the corner, time is flying!  And something I realized today - Nick and I started dating 7 years ago today - yay!!

We've also been having some amazing weather here in Seattle and Nick and I have been taking every opportunity we can to get outside and enjoy it!

The most exciting thing that happened when I was "away" was that our auction for Seattle Children's Hospital raised $32,000!!!  I'm so proud to be a part of the Kids At Heart Guild and I've really enjoyed meeting so many other nice girls.  I'm already looking forward to our event next year!  If I get a hold of some pictures I'll certainly post them.

Can't wait to catch up with everyone!

Random happenings

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I've been pretty busy lately getting ready for an auction I'm a part of.  Recently I joined a guild called Kids At Heart which supports our local pediatric hospital, Seattle Children's.  It is an amazing hospital and we are lucky here in Seattle to have it right in our back yard.  Our auction is this Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it!

And if anyone out there is looking for a book to read, I highly recommend Unbroken.  This was one of the best books I have read. Extremely powerful and moving, but warning - there are some very graphic details documenting the life of a POW. Some parts of the book are very hard to read and emotionally draining at points. This book was extremely well written and the author did a lot of research into this book.

And a big, exciting happening in our house is that we have a new student in our house - my husband!  Nick is back in night school getting his Masters In Computer Science & Engineering and obviously I am beyond proud!  He is still working full time and class is one night a week for 3 hours at our alma mater - the University of Washington.  It's a great opportunity and I'm thrilled for him!

Have a lovely Tuesday everyone!
